Crafted from 100% Gaglioppo grapes grown in the historic Piano Mulino vineyard, this wine embodies the authentic expression of Calabria’s coastal terroir. Planted in 1989 on clay-rich soils just 20 meters above sea level, the vines are trained using the cordone speronato method, ensuring balanced growth and concentration of fruit.
With a density of 5,000 plants per hectare and a yield of 1.5 kg per plant, the harvest is entirely manual, carried out each October and collected in small plastic crates to preserve berry integrity. Grapes undergo soft stemming and pressing (up to 1.0 bar), followed by a five-day maceration in stainless steel without the use of selected yeasts, enzymes, or clarification agents — allowing the natural character of Gaglioppo to shine through.
The wine ages for 12 to 24 months in stainless steel, preserving its freshness and varietal purity.

Vineyard management follows a minimal-intervention approach: no fertilizers, only sulfur and copper treatments for pest control, and strict manual care from pruning to harvest. The result is a pure, honest expression of the land and the Gaglioppo grape.
