Internationally renowned, with Umbrian individuality, Sangiovese expresses the elegance of our wines in its most local interpretation.
Taste and flavour profile
A transparent red colour with crimson reflections. True to the characteristics of a Sangiovese wine on the nose initial hints of violet, plum and blackberry are accompanied by aromas of spices, tobacco, black pepper, and a balsamic note of great elegance. In the mouth a soft and pleasant entry followed by a tannin structure that makes you realise the importance of the Sangiovese variety. It closes with marked acidity in its length.
South facing organic certified vineyards located 490 – 530 metres a.s.l. The soil is ocean floor from the mid Pliocene period (5.3 to 2.6 million years ago), comprising of sedimentary clay, gravel sands and alluvial silt with marine fossils.
